What this site is
MW4 Field Manual is an independent fan resource covering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. It exists because launch-week search results are dominated by SEO farms that rewrite the same press release and never tell you which number matters.
We focus on the questions that decide whether you buy, install, configure, play or troubleshoot the game: exact unlock times, real install sizes, what the Vault Edition includes, which gun unlocks at which level, how DMZ's threat system works, and which fixes actually solve a launch failure.
Who writes it
The site is run by a small editorial team of players who have covered Call of Duty across multiple launches. We do not claim insider access to Activision, Infinity Ward or Microsoft. We do not publish review scores we were paid for, and we do not accept payment to rank a product.
How we source
Every factual claim is checked against at least one of:
- An official Activision blog, support article or store listing.
- A platform store page (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Battle.net, Nintendo).
- A named publication with a dated article, such as GameSpot, IGN, Dot Esports or a specialist guide site.
When sources disagree, we say so. When a date or price is unconfirmed, we label it as expected rather than inventing precision. Each page lists its sources at the bottom and carries an update date.
AI assistance
We use AI tools to draft, translate and illustrate content, then edit against sources before publishing. The illustrations on this site are original AI-generated artwork, not official screenshots. We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, review scores or sources. If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it.
What we do not do
- We do not host, link to or promote cracks, torrents, cheats, account sales or boosting services.
- We do not reproduce official screenshots, key art or trailer frames as if they were ours.
- We do not sell your data or run pop-under ads.
